The African American Farmers of California (AAFC) Adopt their first Carbon Farm Plan (CFP) on Juneteenth!

On June 19th, an important national holiday commemorating the significance of Juneteenth in our country's history, the African American Farmers of California (AAFC), headquartered here in Fresno County, adopted their first Carbon Farm Plan (CFP). The CFP will operate as a framework for the operation of their 17-acre Small Farm Demonstration site they are developing as an important hub in which to reach out and actively support individual small farmers and ranchers. In fact, this is the first demonstration hub that has a Carbon Farm Plan adopted serving the west side and beyond!
The organization has made tremendous strides over these last several years, and are to be commended for this major milestone being accomplished. Credit goes to AAFC's Board of Directors for taking seriously the important role a Carbon Farm Plan can play as they continue to move forward towards their sustainability and Regenerative Agricultural goals.
It is truly a major achievement to commemorate, that coincides with the importance and relevancy of Juneteenth!
